With the support from clients, business partners and suppliers, WECL 30th Anniversary Technology Elite Forum was successfully held on 25 Oct, 2012 in Langham Place Hotel. “New Network Era” is the main theme of the event. WECL is pleased to invite 3M, Fluke Networks, HIKVISION and TOA to be the speakers of the event to share new system concept and application. The one-day forum attracted over 300 engineers and technician from different industries.
Mr Herric Wong, Director of WECL, together with the brands representatives officiated at the WECL 30th Anniversary Technology Elite Forum Light Switching Ceremony and announced the opening of the forum.
Mr. Mike Gengler, APAC Sales and Marketing Director of Fluke Networks, has shared how OneTouch™ AT Network Assistant assist you to become Cabling & Network Effectiveness Testing Specialist from the Client to the Cloud.“OneTouch™ AT Network Assistant is easy to use. You simply follow the instructions on the screen; you can quickly find out the network problem. The test results can provide a PDF report as a reference.” Mr. Gengler said.
Mr. Justin Chan, Marketing Officer in Hong Kong Region, China & East Asia Business Dept of TOA Hong Kong Ltd. has delivered the speech about the changes of the traditional Public Address system to network broadcasting. “Traditional public address system involves a lot of cables and scalability problem. Network broadcasting can greatly enhance its scalability. Take M9000-M2 Digital Matrix Mixer as an example, it increases the flexibility to select zones, broadcast independently and expand the broadcasting area. Moreover, it becomes a trend to integrate with other systems such as surveillance system. Benefit from high scalability, messaging becomes faster and efficient.”
Mr. Wilfred Mak, Senior. Technical Service Engineer of 3M Hong Kong Limited has shared how to effective streamline structured cabling installation. Mr. Mak said “Since splicing is the most important part in the fibre optic cabling, 3M No Polish Fiber Connector is a useful tool to connect fibre without on-site polish which can improve operational efficiency. To improve work efficiency 3M has designed One-Click Tool-less RJ-45 Jacks for Cat.6 and Cat.5e, thus, it doesn’t require impact tool to trims the cable.”
At last, Mr Mike Wu, Regional Sales Manager of HIKVISION Digital Technology Co. Ltd. has shared the trend of surveillance system, including IP and cloud surveillance. Mr Wu also announced that WECL was an authorized distributor of Hong Kong. “According to IMS Research’s report “The World Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment – 2012 Edition”, HIKVISION is the No.1 global vendor of CCTV and video surveillance equipment. HIKVISION offers a wide product range, from simple retail shops to complex surveillance system. Participants gained a lot from the forum since it established a good communication platform for participants and suppliers and promoted the development of engineering and technology.
